GAS MARKET 2019 under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic
sféra, a.s., to kick off expert discussion on the future prospects of gas market business in Slovakia! In close cooperation with the Slovak Gas and Oil Association we are organizing conference GAS MARKET 2019. The conference is scheduled to take place on May 27 - 28, 2019 in Hotel pod Lipou in Modra, Slovakia.
The main theme of the conference is „Slovakia and Central Europe towards a low carbon future". Conference is about to offer comprehensive view on the present and the future of this fossil fuel in Slovakia and Europe. The programme is composed of lectures by domestic and foreign experts who will discuss e.g. the changing European gas map and regulatory environment in Slovakia. One of the focus points of the event will be the EU legislation that serves as a basis for building low-carbon future. Other topics include factors affecting wholesale gas market prices.
Conference GAS MARKET 2019 will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic. Minister Peter Žiga acknowledged in his letter that conference creates space for a meeting of energy experts. Furthermore, he considers low carbon future, which is the crucial topic of this year's edition of the conference, to be one of the key topics of today.
The programme includes representatives of key suppliers of gas (SPP, MET Slovakia) and significant consumers of gas in Slovakia (Veolia Energia Slovensko, Slovnaft). The perspective of transmission system operator eustream will be introduced by Tomáš Matula, Head of System Planning & Strategic Projects. The CEO of SPP - distribúcia Martin Hollý will also give a presentation at the conference. Other distinguished speakers will be Attila Török of Central European Gas Hub and Malcolm Arthur of European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas – ENTSOG.
The main partner of the conference is Slovenský plynárenský priemysel. Other partners are innogy Slovensko, MFGK Slovakia and eustream.
