We gain patent for innovative augmented reality method

The Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic (IPO SR) granted our company SFÉRA, a.s., patent no. 289284 for an invention entitled "Method of loading an augmented reality scene using a selected 2D QR code with the ability to edit the scene", which represents an innovative technology in the field of augmented reality (AR).

The patented solution integrated into the XMatik©/SPACE application enables:

Easy loading of AR scenes through 2D QR codes that the user can create himself, even using publicly available online generators. Subsequently, the user can determine and save the position of the QR codes in 3D spatial coordinates.
Editing and managing the content of AR scenes, including adding new 3D objects and modifying the positions of existing objects in online mode and offline mode, with the so-called offline first by synchronizing AR scene data, after returning to online mode.
Real-time collaboration of several users on different devices (PC, notebook, tablet, smartphone).
The uniqueness of our patent, the authors of which are our colleagues Ing. Matúš Pružinec and Ing. Martin Gulis lies in the fact that users of the XMatik©/SPACE application, unlike traditional solutions in which the positions of QR codes and objects are strictly determined by developers, can evaluate and modify them according to their own needs, even without programming knowledge.

Our colleague Matúš, one of the technology's originators, said, "Our goal was to create a solution accessible not only to developers but also to ordinary users of technology. We believe our invention will expand the boundaries of XR applications and bring new possibilities to a wider range of users."

By obtaining this patent, we once again confirm that we can bring top technological innovations to the domestic and international markets.
