On platform XMtrade®/PXS 2,56 billion EUR was traded in Ukraine in 10 months
Energy sector is a field of activity that must be fully operational even during quarantine. Several markets have seen a decline in energy consumption, not only due to the impact of the crisis on the suspension of industrial production, but also during the warmer season. However, this does not mean that functionality of systems that manage energy flows or trades in the energy market could be slow down or even stopped.
Our XMtrade®/PXS system is also part of a 24/7 operation and manages data daily, which is equivalent to thousands of kW hours of traded electricity. In Slovakia, the product is used by the national market operator OKTE. In other countries system has been implemented and currently is in production by Ukrainian market operator SE "Market Operator" for 10 months.
According to the latest news published on the website of SE "Market Operator", 43.3 TWh of electricity has already been traded in Ukraine on XMtrade®/PXS system, which is almost 35% of total domestic consumption. The turnover of volume of traded energy is 2.56 billion EUR (exchange rate as of May 1, 2020).
"Even in the current conditions of nationwide quarantine, market operator adheres to the declared labor standards - 100% calculation, including weekends and 24/7 electricity trading," said Vladimir Yevdokimov, Director of the Market Operator.
XMtrade®/PXS system operates:
- organization of the day-ahead market in the form of an auction and intraday market in the form of continuous trading,
- control of financial security for trading,
- order matching for day-ahead market and intraday market using integrated algorithms,
- intraday trading in accordance with the pan-European XBID solution,
- billing and invoicing processes directly in the system, or through interfaces to other business information systems.
