A carbon-neutral economy and environment are hardly achievable without renewable energy. Guarantees of origin generate additional revenues for these sources and provide incentives for their further expansion. They also help business to offset their emission production.
XMtrade®/GOs, developed for administrators of Guarantees of Origin (GOs), ensures the whole life cycle of guarantees of origin from their issuance and transfer between account holders to their application for end consumers.
The transfer is possible within the domestic register or a foreign register through the AIB HUB platform. An exclusive part of the
product is also the organization of auctions with guarantees of origin. XMtrade®/GOs issues guarantees of origin based on
measured production data from renewable energy sources.

Key features
Record of account holders and production facilities
Management of each account holder’s data within the national GOs register and synchronization of data with the AIB HUB. Account holders have access to the register of guarantees of origin and the possibility to participate in auctions. These are usually electricity suppliers and producers. Production facilities that meet the requirements for issuing guarantees of origin are also registered.
Register of Guarantees of Origin
Guarantees of origin are issued to the producer’s account according to the actual measured amount produced from renewable energy sources and delivered to the system. Active guarantees can be further transferred between domestic and foreign accounts until their expiration lifetime or their application for the end consumer. The system automatically terminates the validity of guarantees that have expired.
International transfers
The transfer of guarantees of origin initiated by the account holder outside the home domain is realized through the AIB HUB. Similarly, the transfer of guarantees to another AIB member’s domain is ensured.
Auctions
GOs issued for renewable energy producers that already receive state support are transferred to market organizer and offered through public auctions. GOs are categorized according to lifespan and type of production. The income from the sale of GOs constitutes another revenue stream for state authorities. Orders are matched by the "pay-as-bid" auction principle.
Accounting for services rendered
Account management, issuance, and transfer of guarantees of origin may be charged. The settlement of fees evaluates for the specified settlement period. Successfully traded guarantees of origin within an auction will be settled based on the prices of resulting transactions.
